A WIP project of a free-flying physics based bird,  the goal is to be more speedy/dynamic as opposed to relaxing and/or realistic. Therefore tried to leave the physics as "generous" as possible to allow for maximum balls to wall manoeuvring  (like being able to spin freely with closed wings,  being able to fly comfortably while upside down and being really hard to spin out).

*  --BROWSER VERSION COULD NOT HAVE JOLT PHYSICS SO WILL FEEL FLOATIER/ NOT ACT AS FULLY INTENDED, COMPARED TO DOWNLOADED VERSION-- *

Controls:

You can change sensitivities, binds and steering settings in the menus.

  • Pitch:  W/S or Mouse - (left joy up/dwn)
  • Roll: Mouse or A/D - (left joy left/right)
  • Yaw:  Q/E - (left/right shoulder)
  • Close wings:  C - (X)
  • Full stall: Shift - (A)
  • Flap:  Space - (B)
  • Stall individual wing:  Left/right mouse button - (left/right trigger (gamepad triggers don't want to work on web export for some reasonlolhjahafunfun))
  • Free look: Hold middle mouse - (move right joy)
  • Unlock axis (arcade mode): hold alt  - (click down left joy)
  • Walking when landed:  WASD - (left joy)

Control modes:

TLDR; my fav is  (the default) sim mode, auto yaw, mouse roll and W/S pitch. Gives benefits of analogue input for most roll precision and binary pitch input (tap for small adjustments hold for loops).

  • Sim
    • unlocked axis permanently, full control of bird.  Auto yaw / bank assist automate a bit. Those being; automatic yaw when rolling and small pitch for banking, respectively.
  • Arcade
    • left/right automatic steering with locked roll and pitch, working off the same flight model. Have to hold button to unlock axis (do loops/twirls). Makes WASD steering more feasible if hate mouse rolling.

Mechanics:

  • Flapping while full stalling will result in a flap backwards/upwards instead of forwards/upwards
  • Full stalling in a wind boost area will give you more boost
  • Flying close to the floor will let you ride an air pocket
  • to land smoothly you need to be full stalling, going slow and land about where the feet would be.
  • If you crash land you will stand up

Things to note/tips:

  • you are not a jet you don't need 90 degree roll for every turn. <45 degrees with small pitch correction if you are trying to do a shallower turn
  • Closing wings at the end of a boost (flap/wind boost) will let you get more speed from said boost (because you prevent the resultant drag).

цікава гра, але іноді камера дивно працює. нагадало мені місію з бф1 там де за голуба письмо доставляєш.
